Host DAW
The host inserts Latchbay on the session, invites a guest, and hears the return in the mix. Recording the master still happens in the host DAW.
Product of Sosa Sound Audio Technologies Inc.
Latchbay is a plugin for the host’s digital audio workstation and a browser room for the person who was invited. They work in the same live session. The host keeps the files.
The host inserts Latchbay on the session, invites a guest, and hears the return in the mix. Recording the master still happens in the host DAW.
The guest opens an invite link in a browser to hear the session, talk, and record a voiceover take. The guest does not need the host’s project file.
The host chooses the guest’s role when sending the invite. That role decides which Guest Studio tools the server unlocks.
Latchbay is for studios and session hosts who need a vocalist, engineer, or listener in the room when that person is somewhere else. The host stays in Logic, or another DAW that can load a VST3 or Audio Unit plugin. The guest stays in the browser.
Latchbay does not move the session onto a shared cloud drive. It does not press Record in the host DAW. The host still arms tracks and prints the mix in the DAW they already use. A guest hears and performs into the session the host is running.
